The yachty season is well and truly upon us. With glorious weather forecast, we dragged our week weary bones out of bed to catch the 6.30am start to the Round the Island race. Strange to see town so busy so early in the morning, but wonderful to hear the plethora of accents and languages these international events draw to our tiny town.
There was hardly a breath of wind on Saturday, I hate to think how long it took them to get round. I’m sure the wealth of glorious IoW coastal views made up for it though. I’ll stick to observing from the side.
